In June 2016, Danone Nutricia gave the official go-ahead to commence construction of a new, €240-million, state-of-the-art production facility at Cuijk, in the Netherlands. The factory, which will produce baby-food products for more than 80 countries, signals Danone’s largest investment to-date in its European production capacity and doubles its current output.

Global rice processing specialist LT Foods announced plans last year to establish a plant on the Maasvlakte in Rotterdam in the spring of 2017. The arrival of this well-known Indian company will further strengthen Rotterdam’s food cluster and create 70 to 100 new jobs.
